As evangelical as we can get about PVC, there is still a certain charm about wooden windows.  Wood has served humanity well over the last twenty thousand years, and will continue to do so for a long time to come.  Wooden windows can also offer most of the benefits of PVC, while also looking more authentic on an older property.  Often replacement isn't necessary with well built window frames.  They can often be tidied up and repaired to be as good as new.
