Naples Florida Construction
The process of building a house if fairly standard across the country thanks to uniform building codes. It means whatever the house may look like, and wherever it may be, it will be of a very similar standard. This allows a lot of freedom in the design process, but a minimum standard of build an owner can expect.
The process of building a house if fairly straightforward. Firstly the site is prepared, and depending on what was there previously that can be as simple as clearing vegetation to demolishing another building and clearing. Once the site has been cleared, the foundations, crawl space or basement is prepared. Which one of those is made depends on the design of the house, but they will all need ground works and foundations, which is essentially a trench in the ground filled with concrete. This forms a solid base from which to build the rest of the house.
D. Caamano Construction are the kings of Naples, Fl construction and can build houses from scratch using the exact methods described here.
Once the foundations have dried there will probably be a few layers of brick built if the house is to have a raised floor. Wooden joists are then added to form the base for floorboards. On top of that base is laid some plywood to add a bit of extra rigidity. Next comes the frame for the walls. These are built directly on to the floor and tend to go up pretty quickly. Sometimes they come ready made, but mostly they are put together on site by carpenters and joiners, generally called a framing crew. As the wooden frame is built a layer of ply is on the outside to add more rigidity. Gaps are added for windows and doors, and the house begins to take on its shape.
Once the external frame has been built, the internal walls are also constructed. The wooden frame method is used here too and the rooms can appear just as quickly as the external walls. Once the walls are complete, roof trusses are added to make the shape of the roof. A layer of plywood is added here too for added rigidity and an extra layer of weatherproofing.
This is the basic frame of the house to which can now be added the doors and windows and the asphalt roof layer. The asphalt comes in rolls and is laid flat onto the roof and battened down. The windows and doors are added at the same time. Once the roof is covered the tiles can be added and made waterproof. About this time, a different crew will add the siding to the house. In a standard house, this is vinyl siding fit over the plywood. Brick houses would obviously have bricks built into walls here.
Once the building is weatherproof, the first fix can be done. This is the laying of pipes, electrics, plumbing and all the other little jobs that add function to a house. Once this has been done with walls and roof space is insulated using rockwool boards or other methods, then these have drywall boards placed over them to form the walls of the rooms.
This is a very basic view of how your home was constructed. D. Caamano Construction make a complicated job seem very easy.
